The Oxford Street Christmas lights are on, festive window displays are popping up and the Christmas sandwiches have landed – the festive season is well and truly in full swing! We don’t know about you, but our favourite thing about Christmas is the food…from iconic dishes such as pigs in blankets, Brussel Sprouts and mince pies, Christmas food is on everyone’s mind. Don’t miss these spots near Oxford Street this festive season, you won’t be disappointed.

1. LAVO at The BoTree

Step into a winter wonderland at The BoTree hotel, and enjoy an Italian inspired festive feast. The 3-course festive set menu is indulgent and offers a the very best of Italian cuisine. We love the Homemade Burrata with heirloom tomatoes, aubergine caponata and basil oil to start, followed by the Christmas Tacchino Ripieno – stuffed turkey, with Brussel sprouts, crispy pancetta and Barolo sauce – a Christmas delight on a plate, trust us! For pud, or as the Italian’s say dolce, it has to be LAVO’s famous 20 layer cake that has been given a festive glow up. Layers of red and green cake form an impress slice that is simply divine. Book your table here.

2. Bond St Tea Rooms

Nothing says festive like a cosy afternoon tea, and Bond St Tea Rooms is one not to miss. At £45 per person, the festive afternoon tea offers afternoon classics with a wintery touch. We loved the Cheddar Doughnuts, soft and pillowy – they are addictive. No afternoon tea is complete without finger sandwiches, and we highly recommend the Christmas twist of Coronation Turkey sandwiches. When it comes to scones, the Cranberry & Orange are delightfully festive, as is the Stollen with coffee caramel. Perfectly placed just off Oxford Street, this is a must-book for a busy Christmas shopping day. Still looking for gifts? Check out our gift guides for her, for him and for the kids!
