Valentine’s Day is just around the corner so we’ve rounded up the best spots for your date night on the 14th February! From delicious food, great views and activities there is something for everyone whether you’re marking the day with your partner or group of friends…

1. LAVO

Located at The BoTree Hotel, LAVO’s menu is quintessentially Italian with all of the big hits – name us something more romantic than pasta…share the ‘Tagliatelle al Limone’ and create your own ‘Lady and the Tramp’ spaghetti moment. One dish you will not want to share is the ‘Spicy Calabrese’ wood-fired pizza, with a crispy base and thick crusts, this is a pizza that will be fighting for a place in your heart. Make sure to leave room for dessert as LAVO is famous for its indulgent 20-layer chocolate cake – a wickedly rich and luscious treat to round off the perfect Valentine’s Day date! Book here.

2. Madera

Soar to new heights on the most romantic day of the year and head to the 25th floor of The Treehouse Hotel where you’ll find Madera, a Mexican restaurant. Choose a table by the window and watch the twinkling lights of London’s iconic skyline…an idyllic setting! The menu offers Mexican flavours with a twist, try the ‘Carne Asada’ taco with grass-fed steak and manchego cheese, alongside an innovative cocktail expertly mixed at the bar. Book here.

3. Sticks’n’Sushi

The interior of Sticks’n’Sushi on Beak Street in Soho is ideal for an intimate date. With dark “hygge” inspired interior, settle into a table for two and enjoy a mix of freshly made sushi and grilled sticks. As it’s Valentine’s Day, select one of the set menus and take the stress out of ordering by choosing a pre-set menu. We loved the ‘Carpe Diem’ featuring melt-in-the-mouth ‘Tuna Tartare Bites’ and the moreish ‘Tsukune Chilli’ chicken meatballs served on the infamous stick with chilli dip, teriyaki and spring onions. The drinks menu is great too, with a strong line up of Asian inspired cocktails – we’re still dreaming about the ‘Japanese Spring Punch’ made with gin, yuzu juice, Chambord, homemade fruit cordials and topped up with Prosecco. Book here.

4. Amalfi

An Italian restaurant just off Oxford Street, Amalfi has a mouthwateringly delicious menu line-up. Especially for Valentine’s Day, select a special two course meal for £34.95 or opt for 3 courses at £39.95 along with complimentary fizz on arrival! Kick off with an Italian classic, Bruschetta – fresh ciabatta with cherry and plum tomatoes. For the main event, we love the Pepperoni N’duja woodfired pizza, a perfectly crispy base with a spicy kick of flavour. To round up your meal, stay traditional with the Tiramisu – you will not be disappointed! Book here.

5. The Corner Restaurant

If you’re looking for something to fit into a full Valentine’s Day date itinerary, then The Corner Restaurant by chef Jackson Boxer at Selfridges is a great choice. We highly recommend the brunch here, so why not start your date day off here and then wander around Selfridges for some shopping, followed by an activity or two (check out Moco Museum and thank us later!) In terms of what to order, we love the ‘Fried Eggs with Brown Butter and Crispy Sage’, and the ‘Date and Coconut Pancakes with Black Treacle Butter’ alongside a series of cocktails from a ‘Pickle Martini’ to Boxer’s twist on a classic ‘Bloody Mary’ – a winning brunch all round! Book here.

6. Boom Battle Bar

For an activity based Valentine’s Day date, head to Boom Battle Bar and get competitive with each other as you play Virtual Axe Throwing, Shuffle Board or Crazier Golf. With great drinks deals and food truck inspired snacks, upgrade your Valentine’s Day at Boom Battle Bar! Book here.
