30 August 2024

Whether you’re going for a big celebration such as an anniversary, a ritual Friday night date or simply just because, we’ve rounded up the best date night destinations to make it easy for you…

1. Sticks’n’Sushi

The interior of Sticks’n’Sushi on Beak Street in Soho is ideal for an intimate date. With dark “hygge” inspired interior, settle into a table for two and enjoy a mix of freshly made sushi and grilled sticks. As it’s date night, select one of the set menus and take the stress out of ordering by choosing a pre-set menu. We loved the ‘Carpe Diem’ featuring melt-in-the-mouth ‘Tuna Tartare Bites’ and the moreish ‘Tsukune Chilli’ chicken meatballs served on the infamous stick with chilli dip, teriyaki and spring onions. The drinks menu is great too, with a strong line up of Asian inspired cocktails – we’re still dreaming about the ‘Japanese Spring Punch’ made with gin, yuzu juice, Chambord, homemade fruit cordials and topped up with Prosecco.

2. LAVO

Located at The BoTree Hotel, LAVO’s menu is quintessentially Italian with all of the big hits – name us something more romantic than pasta…share the ‘Tagliatelle al Limone’ paired with a fresh white wine. One dish you will not want to share the ‘Spicy Calabrese’ wood-fired pizza, with a crispy base and thick crusts, this is a pizza that will be fighting for a place in your heart. Make sure to leave room for dessert as LAVO is famous for its indulgent 20-layer chocolate cake – a wickedly rich and luscious treat to round off the perfect date!
