10 activities for all the family this half term

There are loads of family-friendly activities on Oxford Street, perfect for kids and adults alike to keep busy during half term. Here are some ideas for your next family visit to the West End, from crazy golf and immersive art, to a themed afternoon tea and the cinema – there is loads going on to keep everyone entertained!

1. Swingers family Sunday’s

Oxford Street has a lot more to offer than simply shopping…did you know you can play a round of crazy golf and get competitive whilst playing old-school arcade games? 2. FRAMELESS – Multi-sensory tots classes

This is for the little ones. Head to FRAMELESS for a multi-sensory tots class in collaboration with My Little Coco. For every ticket, guests will receive a My Little Coco goody bag. Weekly classes kick off from 4th October – embark on a magical journey together with your toddler and uncover hidden wonders inside an immersive enchanted forest. 3. John Lewis tech suite & toys

On the 5th floor of John Lewis’ flagship store, explore the newly refurbished tech suite featuring an upgraded Apple section with the new iPhone 16, all the latest in gaming and household tech, alongside a dedicated tech team to help you set up your devices straight away! A haven for kids, they can test out the latest devices and get stuck into trending video games. Don’t forget to swing by the toys section as well, with kids favourites including Lego, PlayMobile and new squishy toys JellyCat. This is a perfect pitstop to avoid the rain or keep the kids happy whilst on a shopping trip.

4. Moco Museum

New to Oxford Street, Moco Museum is an impressive contemporary art space showcasing the very best of modern art. Stop here to entertain the kids and find peace amongst the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street for an hour or two. 5. Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea

Tuck into this fun-filled afternoon tea – the Alice in Wonderland theme makes this a big hit with kids! A classic family activity, the cinema is always a winner. Head to the basement in Selfridges and you’ll find The Cinema. With luxurious velvet lined chairs, superior snacks and drinks

7. Microsoft gaming suite

The Microsoft store at Oxford Circus will keep the kids busy for hours! With dedicated gaming suites, this is a mecca for kids that are game-obsessed. The main attraction at the moment is the high-octane racing game – Forza Motorsport. Take a seat in the custom racing drivers seat and play this adrenaline pumping game as you race against the very best. One not to miss.

8. NBA Store

More than a shop, the NBA Store offers visitors the opportunity to interact with basketball in a multitude of ways. Compare your hands and feet to those of your icons, and measure yourself against the giants of the game (pun intended!). Explore the extensive range of authentic NBA merch, and head to the Custom Lab to add your own flare. This should be on your list for parents of sports mad kids.

9. Outernet

Just by Tottenham Court Road station you will find large scale digital screens showing the latest in digital art. Take a moment to stop and admire the impressive artwork. A great opportunity to slow down and expand your imagination, kids will love being close to the art and interacting with it – make movements and art will move!
