The safety of all those that visit, live and work in our community is our priority.
Due to concerns about the Omicron variant, the Government has introduced new measures on Tuesday 30th November to ensure the continued safety of the public and to reduce the impact of the emerging variant. Our shops, restaurants and hotels remain open and ready to welcome you!
Please please remember to bring a face covering with you, these are now required in all retail stores.
On the street
When you visit, you may notice that we’ve made some changes to the street. There will be wider pavements and more planting and seating to ensure you have enough space and have plenty of places to have a rest when you need to. Oxford Street’s team of cleaners will be on the street ensuring the street and high touch areas are regularly cleansed.
Services on the street include:
- Hand sanitiser stations
- Bicycle parking
- Taxi ranks
- Public toilets
