This month’s #OXSThotspot goes to Steak & Lobster Marble Arch. New to The Sussex Hotel and just the kind of hip little place you’d expect tucked into a quiet corner off Oxford Street. This is a must-try hidden gem that offers all day dining, making it ideal for taking a break and enjoying some great food!
No dining experience would be complete without a refreshing cocktail to sit alongside it and the attentive staff are on hand with expert suggestions, we went for the sloe gin fizz which is a MUST for all gin lovers.
The menu is all in the name, and with two mouth-watering options to pick from you’ll find it hard to go wrong when picking between a succulent whole lobster or a juicy 10oz ribeye steak. Whichever dish you choose we can assure you – it’ll be satisfaction guaranteed. Both come with thin fries and a salad that has one of the tastiest seasonings we have come across, so great it makes healthy taste naughty!
Finishing on a sweet note, the dessert menu teases a sweet tooth with a list of chocolate cheesecake, banana split and a knickerbocker glory. Feeling nearly defeated by our main we made room to share a pud and went for the KNICKERBOCKER GLORY and my-oh-my was it glorious. Layered with soft ice cream and a refreshing selection of summer berries which was then topped with cream and swirled with passionfruit coulis.
The restaurant is nestled between Selfridges and M&S and manages to be cool and cosy at the same time. With comfy leather chairs and an urban soundtrack to unwind to – Steak and Lobster makes for the perfect place to head to after a day of lots of shopping or for that Saturday night hangout with a long cocktail…!
