Lazeez means tasty, and tapas is about sharing. So, this gives you an idea of what you can expect at Lazeez Tapas, because for Lebanese people, there’s nothing better than sharing food and drink with friends while surrounded by music and a great ambience. Lazeez is a family-run restaurant that brings a sharing culture akin to that in Lebanon with their seasonal menu focussing on Mediterranean sharing plates and Lebanese tapas dishes in a central London location right across from the world-famous Selfridges department store in Oxford Street, with three dining areas, including a covered all-year-round terrace with heaters. The same family has been operating at 29 Duke Street for the last 16 years, starting out with a small illy Café before launching Lazeez Tapas in 2013. The simple, straightforward, and healthy menu is freshly prepared every day, all of which have a Mediterranean base to them, being made with olive oil, local Lebanese ingredients and products, with plenty of healthy salads and grilled meat dishes. All the meat is halal and cooked over a charcoal grill, whilst the halloumi cheese and yoghurt come from a Lebanese dairy. The seasonal menus offer something for everyone, from mixed grills, hot and cold tapas dishes, to healthy salads, vegetarian and vegan dishes, as well as gluten-free options. Lebanese and Turkish coffee is served daily as well as a more traditional illy espresso or cappuccino, accompanied with freshly made Lebanese baklava prepared by Lebanese bakers and pastry chefs who also bake the fresh Lebanese bread every day.
